My Story

Hello,

My name is Christine and it is such a delight to be here with you. I have been really blessed to have a lot of angels in my life, standing on the shoulders of my ancestors, supporting me in walking the path of compassion and love. It is an honor to pay the blessings forward, sharing these practices and resources with you. It is deeply fulfilling on a soul level to be walking beside you as we unfold our own myths, as living, breathing prayers awakening to our full thriving potentials and making the impossible possible. All together now…

To say it has been an easy road would be incorrect. Instead, it has been a winding road with many twists, many mountains to climb, many waters to cleanse, roots to pull, and much time sitting in the alchemical fires of transformation. I can honestly say that my suffering has brought me many gifts, has seasoned me, brought me invaluable experience and insight into the nature of my human/spirit being and to that which truly matters (life and love). I am honing in on a heart that is free, undefended and all-encompassing with an ever deepening capacity to be with what is in love and in understanding.

The practices of yoga and mindfulness have been my sanctuary, my anchors, my muses, my spine and foundation. I’ve come to discover the miracle and magic of my human body as portal to remembering my profound connection with all that is, as a gateway to the gifts of the present moment, as a multilingual source of knowing, and as a sacred chalice for the unlimited creative potential of the cosmos. Like the lover and the Beloved, we can access the Great Mystery through our very own humanity, through relationship, through the yoking, the yoga.

Each resource, each self care ritual supports in harnessing, cultivating, and utilizing the tools of mindful attention, movement medicine, deep rest and embodied experience as a portal to the sweet spot of the present moment in ecstatic connection with all that is. The practices we explore are good for the body, the mind, the soul, and they support our inner and outer lives. As we cultivate clarity, equanimity, and loving-kindness within ourselves, we create ripples. As within, so without. I encourage you to listen deeply within and trust your inner knowing. Read your inner map and let your inner compass be your trusted guide. And of course, stay playful.

I love to share these powerful practices which have supported me greatly in healing from past trauma, instinct injuries, anxiety and depression, as well as a deep sense of hopelessness, helplessness and separation. I discovered yoga in 2008, and I instantly began to notice there was something special here. My sleep began to improve, my rage began to channel into safer outlets, and my mindbody began to strengthen and become clear. Through my experience I have found yoga & mindfulness to be paths for boundless inner exploration, for healing & transformation, and for an unveiling that leads us back home to ourselves and to each other.

Following this heart knowing, and the little soul breadcrumbs beckoning my attention and participation, I completed my first 200hr teacher training in 2013. I spent some time teaching at festivals in California and Oregon. I then spent 7 years traveling and delving deeply into, discovering , and cultivating my own personal practice. I have taught a variety of asana styles from vinyasa yoga, to gentle yoga with seniors. I currently offer group vin/yin (30:30 flow & deep stretch) yoga classes in Crestline, California. And, as I have a special place in my heart for the simplicity and potency of mindfulness practices, you can find both free yoga & mindfulness content over on my YouTube channel. You can also find all of my guided yoga Nidra recordings on the free meditation app, Insight Timer.
